Catalyst grant update, May 2012
The UB21 committees have evaluated the initial UB21 Catalyst Grant submissions according to the criteria outlined in the midyear update. All of the proposals (see above) had merit and underscore the engagement and creativity of the UB community.
Following the committees' recommendations, the Executive Committee has approved full or partial funding for the following proposals:
Catalyst grant submissions will now be reviewed on a rolling basis for FY13 funding.

To position the University of Baltimore as an institutional leader in recognizing, creating and implementing the innovations central to the existing and emerging needs of 21st-century education by:
defining, identifying and supporting existing UB strengths
engaging the campus community in ongoing dialogue about best practices and new ideas that support 21st-century learning, teaching and university life
researching emerging national trends in higher education and sharing that research—including experts and visiting scholars when possible—with the campus community to inform decision-making and goal-setting
collaborating across all academic and administrative areas to identify, create and implement best practices and innovation in learning, university life, technology, campus environment, service and support.
